The Board
MCF is governed by a distinguished group of men and women from all walks of life and reflects a broad range of skills and community experience. All Board members perform their duties on a voluntary basis and contribute financially to the operation of MCF. A number of Board members and their families are also MCF donors.

Peter Hero has recently retired as CEO the Silicon Valley Community Foundation but remains with the Foundation as Special Advisor. Peter is the founding Chairman of the Public Broadcasting Service Foundation and is on the Board of several other foundations.
He chairs the World Bank Advisory Committee on global community foundation development and has been working in Central and Eastern Europe to create a network of community foundations. He lectures at Stanford University Business School and is engaged in a wide range of other philanthropic and arts related activities.

Tim is one of Australia’s leading voices on issues such as urban poverty, homelessness, problem gambling, reconciliation and substance abuse.

Chair of the Equal Opportunity Commission Victoria. Over 20 years legal and governance experience across Fed and Stat tribunals, government agencies and not-for-profit sector. Extensive experience in social justice and disability issues and is an accredited mediator. In 2003 Fiona was awarded a Centenary Medal for her contribution to the Vic Justice System.
