The Grantmaking Process

Print E-mail

Melbourne Community Foundation does not have a public submission process or formal granting rounds.

Short project proposals sent into the MCF office, by email or in hard copy, may be forwarded to specific donors, at the discretion of MCF staff. Only applicant organisations with ATO endorsement as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and Tax Concession Charity (TCC) status will be considered.

A copy of the organisation’s Certificate of Endorsement as a DGR should be forwarded with any project proposal.

Grant applicants will only be contacted if there is interest from a donor in obtaining more information and/or providing a grant for the project.

If you would like to know more about MCF grantmaking contact us.

Grant Agreement and Grant Evaluation

All organisations receiving grants through MCF are required to sign a grant agreement. Organisations receiving grants of more than $2,000 are required to complete a project report, which includes a statement of expenditure, on completion of the project.
